Ontario’s iGaming Market Hits Record CA$ 8.55 Billion in Wagers

The regulated online gaming market in Ontario reached a new milestone in September 2025, with total wagers climbing to CA$ 8.55 billion—a 5 % increase from August and more than 30 % up year-on-year.

Casino games took the lion’s share with CA$ 7.34 billion in wagers, while sports betting contributed CA$ 1.06 billion and peer-to-peer poker CA$ 144 million.

While the gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the month was slightly down vs. the previous month at CA$ 329 million, this still represented an 18.8 % year-over-year increase, signalling strong market momentum.
